First ever advert for Viagra on British TV has the perfect soundtrack.

THE UK’s first ever TV advert for Viagra will be screened on Channel 4 tonight in bid to give sales a lift. The 30-second commercial is cheekily set to the 1975 song “Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)” by Steve Harley. It will be aired at 11.15pm on Channel 4, during Mo Salah: A Football Fairy Tale, which details the Liverpool striker’s scoring prowess. The drug was reclassified earlier this year from prescription-only medication to one that can be sold by a pharmacist. It means the treatment is no longer covered by strict advertising regulations and can now be promoted directly to the public. The ad tells the story of a man who is moved to dance after getting his love life back on track. Drug manufacturer Pfizer say: “This is a story of a couple reconnecting as much as it is about his new-found sense of vitality, and his wife joins him in his dance.” One in five men in the UK – around 4.3million fellas – suffers from erectile dysfunction. As she and her significant other get ready for a movie date night out on their back lawn, a woman encourages men with erectile dysfunction to try Viagra Single Packs or ask their doctor for more information.
